Ingredients:
250 gms Fresh Paneer from Paneer Factory Dhaka
1 tsp Tikka Masala Powder
2 tbsp Tok Doi
1 tbsp Lime Juice
1/2 tsp Ginger Powder
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Salt (to taste)
1 tbsp Mustard Oil
10 Wooden Skewers
1 tbsp Ghee
Instructions:
Step 1: Take the fresh paneer out of the fridge 30 mins before cooking. Cut paneer in cubes and soak them in warm water for softer texture.
Step 2: Marinate the cubes in a mixture of tikka masala powder (Shan or Mehran), tok doi (sour curd), lime juice, a little bit of ground ginger powder and garlic powder, red chilli powder, salt and mustard oil for 2-3 hours.
Step 3: Soak the wooden skewers in water before using. Thread the paneer cubes onto the skewers, alternating the paneer with chunks of onion, capsicums, fresh mashrooms or other veggies as per choice. Marinate the veggies along with the paneer for better taste.
Step 4: Grill them on a barbecue. Alternatively, grill them in the oven or on stove top in a grill pan. To infuse a smoky smell when not using a barbeque – heat a piece of coal on fire, when the coal turns red, put it in a cup with a little bit of ghee in it. Smoke will start to come out of the coal. Now, put the cup in a heavy bottomed pan along with the cooked paneer skewers and cover it with a lid. The skewers will now have a delicious smoky flavour.
Serve along with yoghurt and pudina chutney to enjoy!
